weekly activities of the True Church Of God

Title: Unveiling the Divine Rhythms: A Week in the True Church of God

Introduction

As an avid writer, I have always been fascinated by the power of words to convey deep meaning and emotions. Today, I am thrilled to share insights into the weekly activities of the True Church of God, a sacred journey through spiritual enlightenment and communal devotion. although the weekly service is always morning and evening but we'll be talking about the morning aspect today.

Monday Scientifications Service (5:00 a.m. - 6:00 a.m.)

The week in the True Church of God begins with the Monday Scientifications Service, a serene and introspective gathering held from 5:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. This early morning service sets the tone for the week, inviting worshippers to engage in self-reflection and spiritual purification. Drawing inspiration from passages such as Psalm 119:130, "The unfolding of your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple," the service encourages attendees to seek enlightenment through the divine wisdom of scripture.

Tuesday Revival Service (5:00 a.m. - 6:00 a.m.)

Continuing the spiritual journey, Tuesday brings the Revival Service at the same early morning hour. Rooted in the belief that revival is a continuous process of spiritual renewal, this service focuses on Acts 3:19: "Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord." Attendees are uplifted through worship, testimonies, and the proclamation of the Gospel, igniting a fervent desire for a deeper connection with the divine.

Wednesday Bible Studies  (5:00 a.m. - 6:00 a.m.)

Midweek is marked by the enlightening Wednesday Bible Studies. Grounded in the principles of Proverbs 2:3-5, "Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures," these studies delve into the profound teachings of the scriptures. Attendees engage in interactive discussions, linguistic analyses of biblical texts, and linguistic exegesis, enhancing their comprehension of God's word.

Thursday Intercessory Prayer Service  (5:00 a.m. - 6:00 a.m.)

Thursday evenings are dedicated to the powerful Intercessory Prayer Service. Rooted in the teachings of James 5:16, "Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working," this service encourages the congregation to intercede on behalf of others and the community. Linguistic nuances in prayer are explored, fostering a deeper connection with the divine through heartfelt communication.

Friday Pentecostal Service  (5:00 a.m. - 6:00 a.m.)

As the week approaches its culmination, Friday evenings come alive with the Pentecostal Service. Inspired by Acts 2:4, "And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance," this service celebrates the manifestation of the Holy Spirit. Linguistic diversity is embraced as worshippers engage in spirited worship, speaking in tongues, and allowing the Holy Spirit to move freely among them.

Sunday School (8:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.) and Sunday Service (9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.)

The week culminates in the Sunday School and Sunday Service, offering a comprehensive spiritual experience for all ages. Sunday School, inspired by Proverbs 22:6, "Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it," focuses on nurturing the younger members of the congregation through age-appropriate linguistic studies of the scriptures. The Sunday Service, rooted in Hebrews 10:25, "Not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near," is a vibrant congregation-wide celebration of worship, teaching, and fellowship.

Conclusion

In the True Church of God, each day of the week is a purposeful step on the journey of spiritual growth and communal devotion. The linguistic richness of scripture is explored and celebrated, deepening the understanding of God's word. Through Scientifications, Revival, Bible Studies, Intercessory Prayer, Pentecostal Service, Sunday School, and Sunday Service, the True Church of God invites believers to experience a holistic and transformative encounter with the divine. As a blogger and a content creator, I find immense joy in witnessing the congregation's linguistic exploration of the sacred texts, fostering a profound connection with the living word of God.

Title: Discovering Church Vitality: (11 Indicators of a Thriving True Church Of God)

Indicators of a Thriving True Church Of God

Introduction:

In the quest for a vibrant and flourishing church, the book of Hebrews serves as a rich source of timeless insights. Written expressly for the church, this biblical text provides unchanging answers to the pivotal question every church member should ponder: "How can my church be healthy?" The concluding chapter of Hebrews presents a clear blueprint, offering 11 signs of a thriving and healthy church.

Exploring the Signs:

Brotherly Love (Hebrews 13:1):

1. Brotherly Love (Hebrews 13:1):

A healthy church fosters an environment of genuine affection, where members experience the joys of meaningful relationships and fellowship.

2. Hospitality (Hebrews 13:2):

Comparing the church to a "hospital," a healthy congregation extends a warm welcome, devoid of judgment, embracing the biblical concept of hospitality.

3. Remembering the Persecuted (Hebrews 13:3):

A healthy church empathetically stands with those suffering for their faith, embodying a collective consciousness for the persecuted.

 Prayer (Hebrews 13:18-19)

4. Strong Homes and Families (Hebrews 13:4):

Valuing and supporting marriages and families, a healthy church stands unwaveringly beside its members during testing times, offering healing and forgiveness.

5. Contentment (Hebrews 13:5):

By learning contentment with what is given, a healthy church avoids comparison, recognizes God's unique blessings, and expresses gratitude.

6. Respect for Leaders (Hebrews 13:7, 17):

A healthy church honors past and present leaders, acknowledging their accountability before God and following with joy for mutual benefit.

7. Christ-Centeredness (Hebrews 13:8):

Anchored in the unchanging nature of Christ, a healthy church maintains consistency in its core message, ensuring that the timeless message of Christ remains central.

8. Doing Good (Hebrews 13:16):

A healthy church impacts its community by investing in relationships, meeting physical and spiritual needs, and sacrificially demonstrating the love of Christ.

9. Steadfast Doctrine (Hebrews 13:9):

Guarding against doctrinal drift, a healthy church remains rooted in the foundational message of salvation through Christ alone.

10. Sacrificial Worship (Hebrews 13:15):

Understanding that worship extends beyond musical expressions, a healthy church views every aspect of life as an opportunity for sacrificial worship and service to God.

11. Prayer (Hebrews 13:18-19):

Recognizing the essential role of prayer, a healthy church intercedes for spiritual and personal needs, upholding the ministry and vitality of its members.

Conclusion:

The essence of a healthy church lies not in its physical structure but in the collective actions of its people. By diligently applying these principles from the book of Hebrews, individual members contribute to transforming their church into a living example of what God has prescribed for a thriving church. To nurture a healthy church, the key is to immerse ourselves in the Word and live it out.

The True Church Of God (Brief History Of The True Church Of God)

EASTERN HEADQUARTERS  (MKPAT ENIN L.G.A)

The True Church Of God in Nigeria was, up until 29th November 1962 known as ''First Century Gospel Church". From the root name the History of this ministry is easy to trace. From the mid-20s -20's the founding fathers of the ministry were members of the First Century Gospel Church (without Pentecostal qualification).

The church steeped in the holiness and sanctification doctrine anchored on (John 3:3;2Cor.5:1; Heb.12:14;1st John 3:3)It provided umbrage for a large number of Christians fed up with formal Christianity of the established churches in those days. But the church was even better known for its strong faith in divine healing without medication, 2 Cor.5:7; Heb.11:6  (like its sister organization, the FAITH TABERNACLE CONGREGATION.

When the spiritual revival that swept across Nigeria in the 30s hit the first Century gospel church,  the Lagos assembly was divided as to how to respond. That was because the mother church in the USA, had warned them that the modern-day Pentecostal movement was a satanic hoax,  and any member associating with it would face sanctions.

T.C.G. LOGO

After 50 members defied the decision, and as they sought the Lord from 1941, a glorious thing happened on 18th January 1942. THEY WERE WONDERFULLY BAPTIZED IN THE HOLLY GHOST WITH EVIDENT SIGNS. As a result, they were promptly ostracized by the rest of the denominations in Nigeria and overseas. This was born "THE FIRST CENTURY GOSPEL PENTECOSTAL CHURCH ".

Early tutelage of this fledgling Pentecostals was given by the friendly Lagos churches who had just come the same route- THE APOSTOLIC CHURCH and then CHRISTIAN APOSTOLIC CHURCH under pastor Adegboyega and D. Odubanjo assisted by pastor S. Mensha, ordained the first full pastors and leaders of the church-Smith U. Umoh and Goodswill E. King. The general secretary of the church was a young ELDER Nsidinanya U. Mbakwe. These three leaders eventually became the initial trustees of the church when it was officially registered.

Apostle Smith U. Umoh

Persecution and factional tendencies in the first ten years limited the church's growth to just FOUR assemblies. But by 1953, the lord pouted out a tremendous anointing on the church. A revival and missionary team was sent out of the eastern part of Nigeria. Miraculously healings and raising of the dead manifested so mightily that hundreds of assemblies were established in a very short period, as people turn massively to the lord. By the civil war (1967) nearly 300 assemblies  were operating in southern Nigeria

How come the name the True church of God? In the exercise of registering the church with the government in the early 60's the lord gave this vision to pastor Umoh and King of a name that was NOT  denominational, not man-exalting

" There are, and have been, only TWO churches worldwide through time - The truth and the false. The truth is all my children stand by the bible's faith and practice of first-century Christianity.  That is where you belong!"

Thus on 29th November 1962, the government issued THE TRUE CHURCH OF GOD with a certificate of incorporation No. 622

Apostle Godswill E. King

Apostle King was promoted to glory in 1983 at age 80. Apostle Umoh received promotion in 1985 aged 85. But before their home call, the lord had led them to put successors in place. Emmanuel C. Jubuike, called to be an Apostle, and pastor Daniel Frank Umoh, were made to take over the helmets in 1985 and are supported by a multi-national crop of loyal pastors and ministers.

Our ten point Emphasis (TEN SIGNS OF TRUCE MEN) are:

*FAITH

*JOY

*SOUNDNESS IN THE WORD OF GOD

*SUBMISSION

*INTENSE PRAYERS AND FASTING

*HOLINESS

*SIMPLICITY

*LOVE

*EVANGELISM

*HOLY GHOST ANOINTING.
